Miller: No interest in a coaching job

CHICAGO -- Don't expect to see former Indiana Pacers great Reggie Miller
pacing the sideline as an NBA coach.

別期待偉大的前 Pacers 球員  神米，以一個 NBA 教練的身分出現在球場上。

Miller, who spent his 18-year playing career with the Pacers, doesn't have
the itch -- or the patience -- to be a coach.

Working in a team's front office is a possibility.

不過如果是制服組的一員或許有可能。

Miller told USA Today that he'll "leave the door open to working in a
front office."

And, of course, Miller would ideally like to do it with his former team.

當然，能回到自己的球隊是最棒了。

"It would be an unbelievable opportunity to be able to go home," Miller
told USA Today. "But (Pacers president) Larry Bird has those guys on the
right track."

「如果能有回家的機會的話，那就棒極了」  神米這麼說。「不過現在大鳥他們幹得
不錯。」

The door for Miller to return could open down the road because it's
unknown how much longer Bird will stay on the job.

Bird is in the final year of his contract and hasn't committed to
returning.

大鳥已經到了合約年了，而且還沒有決定要不要繼續打拚。


No setbacks for Hansbrough

Other than his left ear still being black and blue and looking like a
piece of cauliflower, Pacers power forward Tyler Hansbrough said he hasn't
had any complications -- such as headaches -- from the blow he took to the
side of his head in the third quarter of Game 1.

儘管左耳仍然烏青而且看起來像花椰菜一樣，漢堡說他沒有任何問題，上一場球挨的

"I'm feeling good to go," Hansbrough said. "I'm fine."

Chicago Bulls big man Kurt Thomas hit Hansbrough in the ear with his elbow
when they were battling for a rebound.

Hansbrough had to be helped off the court and to the locker room. He went
through a number of tests before being cleared to return in the fourth
quarter.

"To be honest with you, I probably didn't need to go back to the locker
room," said Hansbrough, who had a bout of vertigo last season. "I just
wanted to go back there and make sure everything was all right. It was
a hit in the head, but I kind of overreacted a bit."

Hansbrough struggled Monday night. He was just 2-of-12 shooting, scoring
six points in 40 minutes.

Jones was on call

Pacers interim coach Frank Vogel considered expanding his rotation from 10
to 11 players so that he could use Dahntay Jones, the team's fifth
swingman, on Bulls do-everything All-Star guard Derrick Rose if rookie Paul
George struggled.

Vogel said he could expand his rotation because the team's shooting guards
-- Jones, George and Brandon Rush -- aren't focal points in the offense.

"That position doesn't do much for us offensively in terms of play calls,"
Vogel said.

However, 11 Pacers played. T.J. Ford got a few minutes after Darren
Collison suffered an ankle injury.

Adjusting to the noise

Several Pacers said they had a difficult time communicating during the
fourth quarter of Game 1 because of noise in the United Center.

困難。

Vogel didn't take a page out of Colts quarterback Peyton Manning's
playbook and have his players start using hand signals. It's simply a
matter of knowing the schemes.

鳥哥並沒有準備像小馬四分衛大曼寧那樣的戰術手冊，而是讓他的子弟兵用手勢進行
溝通。只單純為了了解狀況。

"It's about having a system that everybody understands and knows where
they're supposed to be," Pacers veteran big man Jeff Foster said.
