昨天 (5/8)，Google 宣布將為企業提供網路安全的服務，這個新產品叫 Google Web Security? 。據說，它將提供即時的病毒防護、URL filtering，即使用戶沒有在公司裡，抱著 laptop 在外頭工作，一樣可以被保護。請見：Google Apps extends protection to web surfing and remote workers。
不過目前為止，我還在研究這個東西是要如何 deploy、如何保護企業與 remote users。難道是一個大 Proxy？還是 Great Firewall？如果可以不安裝 agent 而能夠 direct remote user's traffic 給 Google 來掃，真的太厲害！不解，繼續爬文研究中。
自從 Google 買下 Postini， 大家就在預測 Google 會不會進入 Security 的領域。果不其然，不到一年，Email Security 和 Web Security 都有了。SaaS 的競爭程度，果真比一般軟體還要高哇！
