Our guest speakers from Korea are: Dr. Jungsun Park (director of Occupational Health Department of KOSHA) and Dr. Yangho Kim (professor in Occupational and Environmental Medicine, U of Ulsan). Both of them are active leaders in the field of occupational health in Korea. Prof. Yue-Liang Guo from NTU will also give a presentation to introduce the systems in Taiwan. More information about this workshop are available: http://homepage.ntu.edu.tw/~ycheng/index/symposium_121010.htm We hope to learn from Korea with regard to the following issues: 1. Job stress problems in Korea i. Long working hours ii. Other stressors iii. Stress-related health problems in the workplace 2. The monitoring, reporting and recognizing schemes, in general, and specifically for stress-related events i. Types of stress-related compensable diseases, and their criteria (especially for CVD and mental disorders) ii. How to determine the 'work-relative-ness'? What evidences are considered? Investigation procedures? Who participate in the decision making process? Role of epidemiologic evidences? iii. Number of claims and acceptation rate of stress-related events? iv. Prevention strategies for job stress problems? How to reduce psychosocial risk factors at work? How does labor inspection do to prevent job stress problems? Are there other OSH measures to prevent stress problems? How to implement and enforce these measures?
