Suns rookie Earl Clark is on his first real NBA road trip and is enjoying a
run of five stops in seven days more than his teammates.

太陽菜鳥Clark正踏上他職業生涯第一次的客場之旅，或許是初生之犢不畏虎，他比其他隊
友更享受這七天五戰的里程。



He loves the hotel room service. He got a rush out of facing Orlando's Dwight
Howard. He is thankful for the team support he gets.

他喜歡旅館的服務（是有什麼特別的服務嗎？），也很快的得到面對奧蘭多魔獸之攻防經
驗，Clark感謝球隊對於他的支持。



As for how he fits into the daily Suns mix . . .
"I'm just clueless," Clark said "I just try to be ready when Coach (Alvin
Gentry) calls me because I never know if I'm going to play five minutes or 20
minutes. I always stay focused on the game to see what's going on. I try not
to watch it as a fan but as a player, like seeing what a guy likes to do and
moves he's making so I can defend him well if I get in."

當談到他如何融入太陽的體系時，Clark表示：「目前我還在摸索中，雖然我的上場時間
仍不固定，但當總教練需要我時，我會做好上場的準備工作。」

「我總是將注意力放在賽場上，並觀察比賽過程的變化。我試著由職業球員的觀點而不是
從球迷的角度來解讀比賽，比如我會觀察對方球員的習慣動作以及他處理球的方式，這使
得當我在場上面對他時，可以作出正確的防守判斷。」



True to the summer plan, the Suns are not rushing Clark. He has played
important minutes some nights and mop-up ones on others. On Friday, it was
the former. He entered in the first quarter and spent time guarding Rasheed
Wallace, the type of shooting big man they drafted Clark to cover.

一切都按照原訂計畫走，太陽將有耐心地等待Clark的成長。他目前已經在某些比賽的重
要時刻上場，並且被賦以防守特定對象之任務。

在對抗超賽的比賽中，他在第一節就上場並且被委任防守怒吼天尊－太陽希望Clark可以
速度守住的典型遠程大前鋒。


"We keep trying to stick him in there," Gentry said. "We don't put any extra
pressure. We're pretty good at his spots. He's a rookie. It's going to be a
roller coaster for him but we think eventually he's going to be a really
solid player who can do a lot of things for us. Defensively and rebounding,
he's pretty good already."

Gentry表示：「我們會嘗試讓Clark在場上多待一點時間，但我們不會給他壓力。他只是
一個菜鳥，而且在他位置上我們深度不錯（見鬼了，是指大前還是小前？）。Clark將會
歷經賽季中狀態的起起伏伏，但我們堅信Clark終會成為堅實的球員，並為太陽帶來多方
面的貢獻。例如像防守與籃板，他現在已經作得不錯了。」


The Suns are deciding if Clark is a small forward or a power forward,
although Gentry would like to see him be a power forward because of the
advantage his speed and ball-handling would give him there.

目前太陽正在抉擇Clark要主打PF還是SF，然而因為他在PF的位置上有速度與控球的優勢，
Gentry喜歡Clark主打PF。



"I can play both positions," Clark said. "I don't play a lot of three because
I'm not a consistent 3-point shooter. I'm not really comfortable at shooting
from there. As the years go on and I become a better shooter, I think I'll
play the three and four."

Clark表示：「我可同時勝任兩個位置，但由於我不是一個穩定的三分射手，所以我較少
打SF的位置。目前我在遠射上還要加強，過了幾年當我變成穩定的射手後，我想打PF和SF
都不是問題。」

（1）今天和超賽的比賽內容我想太陽日報會有，所以就選了此篇翻譯。


（2）Clark的問題在進攻，尤其是投射的方式與時機有問題（要投外線或切入打內線的選
擇），外電是有專篇用數據研究討論他大學時期的進攻問題，這也是他有天賦也夠全面，
但到14順位才被我們挑中的原因，有機會再跟大家介紹。
