Phoenix Suns pregame notes from Paul Coro's blog:

Amar'e Stoudemire did not have to score more in Game 2 to have a better
performance than Game 1.

第二場，阿罵在得分上的表現並沒有比第一戰好上多少。

Stoudemire scored 18 points in each game but he was back to doing it
efficiently in Game 2, making five of 10 shots from the field and making
all eight of his free throws after shooting only three in Game 1.

這兩場比賽他都拿下了18分，不過他在第二場顯得有效率多了。
在投籃方面十投五中，也獲得了8次的罰球機會，比第一場的三球好多了。


He also had three assists Tuesday, using the Trail Blazers' defensive
attention on him against them. He passed out of the paint to Jason
Richardson for a corner 3-pointer and sucked Portland's defense up high with
the ball at the elbow before finding Grant Hill twice for layups.

而且他也利用拓荒者在防守上對他不敢掉以輕心而變出了三次助攻：

"When he realizes his options passing the ball, that's the ultimate evolution
for him to where he does become unplayable," Suns guard Steve Nash said.

There are few times when four teammates take more shots than Stoudemire but
that is what this Blazers' strategy might call for from him. Regardless, he
was more aggressive from the start, attacking in transition for a left-handed
miss on the Suns' first offensive play. It was a good shot and set a tone that
the Suns would be pressing to kick up the tempo.

同時也有幾次另外四名隊友比阿罵有更多出手進攻的機會，但那可能是因為拓荒者
的戰略使然。不管怎樣，他從一開始就表現得更積極，太陽的第一波進攻他就換到

During that eight-minute deluge of 32 points in the first quarter, Stoudemire
was able to get a slam off a Nash feed, take a jumper that missed, get a
follow when his man left him to double Jason Richardson and twice get fouled
on takes to the basket.

開始的時候阿罵得到老大的妙傳，有機會灌籃卻採取了跳投，最後miss掉。
但當防守他的球員開始被綠茶吸走、嘗試包夾綠茶且兩度在籃下被犯規。
第一節有一陣子八分鐘得三十二分，阿罵也是在這時候開始爆發的


"I was still in attack mode the same as I was in Game 1," Stoudemire said.
"They weren't quite as set up as quickly as they were in Game 1. More times
in Game 1, I was taking more of my time in the post and allow the teams to
really set up and see where they were coming from (with) the double team.
In Game 2, I was a little quicker and a little more aggressive on the moves.
It kind of caught them off guard a few times and allowed me to get to the free
throw line. Plus, we had more fastbreak opportunities. We filled lanes. We
got to the basket pretty quick, even after made shots we got a few fastbreak
points. With that being said, it allowed us to get to the free throw line
more."

「我當時還在第一場比賽的攻擊模式」阿罵說：
「他們還停留在第一戰中，沒有那麼快進入狀況。在第一戰中的許多時候，
我只是花更多的時間在我的崗位同時永許他們更快的進入狀況然後看他們如
何輕易的做出包夾。在第二戰，我只是顯得快了一點，並且在移動上表現出
更多的侵略性。這在很短的時間內見效，抓住了他們的弱點並且打了他們一
個措手不及，不得不把我送上罰球線。而於此同時，我們也擁有不少快攻的
機會，即使他們投進，我們也用非常快的速度衝到籃下去找到新的快攻點，
而在這樣的情況下，他們只能把我們送上罰球線更多次。」


Recent Suns addition Dwayne Jones has been on the active list instead of
rookie Taylor Griffin because Phoenix figures it would be more apt to need an
extra big man, especially with Robin Lopez out. Jones, who made five playoff
appearances for Cleveland two years ago, was the mop-up duty star Tuesday,
getting five points and four rebounds in six minutes.

此外因為太陽缺少肉汁弟且Griffin又不太堪用而額外補進的大個子Dwayne Jones
在場上表現得蠻有活動力的。Jones在兩年前也為騎士隊出賽過五場的季後賽，
他在星期二的比賽的六分鐘裡拿下五分和四籃板。

"He showed a little bit of rebounding and toughness," Gentry said.

Nash on the Suns increased tempo that resulted in 13 fastbreak points in
Game 2's first 15 minutes after getting four fastbreak points in all of Game
1: "I felt like I didn't change anything but we got in transition more. We
just got to make sure we're doing anything we can to play the style of
basketball we're accustomed to."

不同於第一戰，Nash在比賽加快節奏的表現讓太陽在比賽開始的前十五分鐘內
就憑著快攻轟下十三分：「其實我覺得我沒有改變些什麼，只是我們進入了更
多的攻守轉換。確保自己正在進行的事情是屬於我們平常的風格的。」
                                                              

The Oregonian reported that Nicolas Batum did not practice Wednesday due to
the strain he suffered Tuesday in his right shoulder, which was surgically
repaired for a torn labrum in October. He will undergo more treatment today
for a shoulder that did not have much mobility Wednesday. If he can't play,
Martell Webster would likely start at small forward in his place but Nate
McMillan also threw out the possibility of starting Jerryd Bayless at
off-guard and moving Rudy Fernandez to the other wing spot.
But Batum put his own odds of playing at 75 percent.

Has anything worked out better for Phoenix than putting Steve Nash on Rudy
Fernandez, who has yet to take advantage of the matchup. Fernandez has made
two shots and only tried nine with only two coming in Game 2. It's an odd
passivity for a player who always has sought more playing time and is getting
his chance to start and be a featured scorer. McMillan has been telling his
team that it got outworked. That likely isn't going to happen again tonight
and players like Fernandez will come out with more energy at home, where he
gets an "Uno, dos, tres!" salutation for each of his 3-pointers.

有什麼比讓Nash對上Rudy更好的選擇呢？第二戰裡Rudy只有9投2中的成績，
這是很奇怪且被動的表現，特別是發生在Rudy，一個老認為自己該有更多上場
時間而且能好好把握機會當個傑出的得分好手的球員身上。

McMillan已經告訴他的球隊他們需要更努力。

There continues to sound like a good chance of All-Star Brandon Roy returning
if this series is extended. "Hopefully, I can get back this series but I
think we're going to have to keep winning games and hopefully I can be back
later on," Roy told Portland reporters on Wednesday. "I've had a few of
these (knee surgeries) and this is the best I've felt after surgery. I don't
know if I'd say I'm surprised but I'm definitely excited that I'm so far
ahead of schedule."
