* They are the Clippers. They have the worst record in the league, no road
wins and are playing for the second consecutive night. So why does this game
feel so dangerous for the Suns? The Clips may be 3-13 but two of those wins
have come in the past two games, their first consecutive wins since February.
It's not just that they won twice but that the first of those two wins came
against New Orleans (11-3) and the latter was a convincing 100-82
Thanksgiving feast on Sacramento (warning: the Clippers had 58 points in the
paint).

who has nine double-doubles and an astounding blend of power, finesse,
athleticism and aggression in his game. He is averaging 19.3 points and 11.3
rebounds, including 31 points per game in the past three games. The Suns
resident defender, Grant Hill, can handle wings and point guards but who is
going to check this beast? If you miss seeing Suns games full of dunks,
Griffin should probably add some tonight to his league-leading total.
Turkoglu will begin the game assigned to Griffin.

"There is an ideal matchup for him but he plays for the Cardinals," Suns
coach Alvin Gentry said. "I'll get my man, double-D (Darnell Dockett), out
here and he'll bounce him around a little bit.

"He (Griffin) has got a little bit of young Amar'e in his game. He just tries
to catch it and dunk it over everybody in sight. He's an extremely
hard-working kid."

* Gentry said he regretted pulling Goran Dragic 2:10 in the fourth quarter in
the Chicago loss Wednesday, setting up Steve Nash to play almost 20
consecutive minutes because of the two overtimes. In a similar situation
again, he said he would reinsert other starters and leave Dragic in to bring
back Nash with about six minutes to go. He spoke to Dragic and other reserves
during and after today's shootaround about how they are needed.

against the Clippers. Maybe it will do the Suns well to play against the West
again. They have won four consecutive intraconference games but lost four in
a row to East teams.
