Phoenix Suns defeat Utah Jazz for season sweep

The Suns did not fix the whole fourth-quarter problem, but they took care of
how to finish it this time.

After blowing a lead Sunday at home against Sacramento because the backups
could not score and the starters could not get stops, the Suns were reeling
toward another devastating home loss before holding Utah to nine points over
seven crunch-time minutes to win 102-101 Tuesday night at US Airways Center.

Suns forward Channing Frye hit his first eight shots, including five

to nine points until C.J. Miles' 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Asked Tuesday morning if Goran Dragic's return had any playing-time limit
because of the cut toe, Suns coach Alvin Gentry said his time would be based
only on how he played. He turned over the ball on his first trip and looked
rusty as the Suns were outscored 12-4 in his five second-quarter minutes.
Gentry called timeout to reinsert Steve Nash and the Suns were fine the rest
of the half and third quarter. Taking a three-point lead to the fourth
quarter, Gentry went to Zabian Dowdell and the reserves did the same thing,
blowing a lead to a 14-5 Utah run in Dowdell's 4:38.
