Nobody on the Suns wants this season to end Wednesday, but perhaps nobody
wants that less than Zabian Dowdell.

打工仔不想結束啊~~~~~~
Dowdell chased the dream for four years out of Virginia Tech until he caught
it in January, latching on with the Suns.

自維吉尼亞理工畢業後，打工仔為了足足等了四年才得到這個機會
It took a circuitous path of heading overseas after going undrafted, playing
for two Suns summer-league teams, passing up European money to stay close in
the D-League and breaking in as a 26-year-old rookie on a 10-day contract.
When Steve Nash missed games or Aaron Brooks had a suspension, Dowdell was
given significant time without a blink.

選秀落選後他到了海外討生活，但是為了追夢，他後來還是放棄歐元待在NBDL
即使當他簽下十天短約時二十六歲了，但他還是牢牢把握住老大不適跟AB腦衝的時間表現
Dowdell was in the Atlantic Coast Conference when Chris Paul and Jarrett Jack
were bigger stars but he found his way to the same NBA floor with them
Friday, when he had nine points in 18 minutes. With Nash likely back for the
final three games, that might have been the last hurrah for Dowdell because
the Suns need to look at Brooks closely for the future too.

"I'm trying to learn as much as possible," Dowdell said. "Every game counts
for me. These guys have been in the league for 13, 14 years. It's a different
mentality for them. For me, I'm trying to make the most out of every second.
Until that last buzzer goes off, it's a working mentality for me."

Dowdell has impressed the Suns and drawn outside respect, like when Houston's
Kyle Lowry complimented him after a March 8 game. Dowdell was signed to be a
practice player, but his defense gets him on the court even as a third point
guard. He also is trying to improve his shooting and study Nash's use of
screens.

"I don't think I've had a chance to really, really make my name in the league
yet," Dowdell said. "That comes with getting minutes and having an impact.
I've had some success but in this league, respect isn't earned easily. I'm
not looking for any handouts. I'm looking to earn everything I get in the
league."

After teammates challenged him to dunk five times last season, swingman Jared
Dudley met that and pledged to double the tally this season.

自從被打槍後，他發誓說會在下一季比賽灌進二十籃
Dudley did it, getting all 10 dunks in the past 30 games and pledged to
double it again next season.

The Dudley dunk-o-meter was a running source of entertainment in light of his
lack of athleticism, although his fitness has improved greatly in a year.

雖然這東西只能娛樂跟凸顯他的體能不行!!但是哈這味的人本季增加不少
"Twenty bangs next year," Dudley said. "I think I'll come back more
explosive. Leaner, more swollen. I'll try to come back with the Hakim Warrick
body, more toned-up and I can bang on people. Those guys and G (Grant) Hill
have natural genetics so I've got to be toned."

Dudley became more motivated to reach 10 when Michael Jordan, who drafted him
in Charlotte, told him he doubted he could get 10, which he reached Friday
night.

"Right when I saw his (Brooks') arm going around the back, I was thinking,
'OK, (New Orleans' Marco) Belinelli, let's do this,' " Dudley said. "He
swiped. He didn't want to jump. He didn't want no part of that."

 「當時我看見AB的手向後翻，我就想『好，前面是Belinelli，我要衝了！！』」
但他最後還是放進去而已＝　＝
