The NBA suspended Suns forward P.J. Tucker without pay for the upcoming
season's first three regular-season games because of his guilty plea for a
DUI charge in Scottsdale.

The suspension will cost Tucker $155,455 of salary on his new contract.

Under league rules, the Suns allow the league to administer the punishment in
a criminal case. Tucker's three-game suspension was more games than what
Jason Kidd and Devin Ebanks received for DUI charges last year. That is
likely due to the super extreme DUI charge that Tucker received for having a
blood test for .222 blood alcohol content while driving May 10 in downtown
Scottsdale.

Tucker was not guaranteed to retain his starting position. His suspension
will give an opportunity to Marcus Morris, Gerald Green or rookie T.J. Warren
to at least initially start at small forward.
