天生好手

Little boy, in a baseball hat
一個小男孩，戴著一頂棒球帽
Stands in the field with his ball and bat
手拿他的球與棒，站在球場上
Says, \"I am the greatest player of them all\"
他說，「我是所有球員裡最棒的一個」
Puts his bat on his shoulder and he tosses up his ball
他把球棒舉到肩上，然後投起他的球
And the ball goes up and the ball comes down
球飛起，球落下
Swings his bat all the way around
他使勁的全力揮出球棒
The world so still you can hear the sound
整個世界如此的寧靜，你可以聽到
The baseball falls to the ground
棒球落到地面的聲音
Now the little boy doesn\'t say a word
小男孩一個字也沒說
Picks up his ball, he is undeterred
撿起他的球，他毫不氣餒
Says, \"I am the greatest there has ever been\"
他說，「我是所有球員裡最棒的一個」
And he grits his teeth and he tries it again
然後他咬緊牙關，再試一次
And the ball goes up and the ball comes down
球飛起，球落下
Swings his bat all the way around
他使勁的全力揮出球棒
The world so still you can hear the sound
整個世界如此的寧靜，你可以聽到
The baseball falls to the ground
棒球落到地面的聲音
He makes no excuses
他沒有替自己找任何藉口
He shows no fear
他沒有露出絲毫畏懼
He just closes his eyes
他只是閉上眼睛
And listens to the cheers
傾聽著觀眾的歡呼
Little boy, he adjusts his hat
小男孩調整一下他的帽子
Picks up his ball, stares at his bat
撿起他的球，注視著他的球棒
Says, \"I am the greatest, the game is on the line\"
他說，「我是最棒的，球賽正在進行中」
And he gives his all one last time
接著他最後一次使出他的全力
And the ball goes up while the moon\'s so bright
球高高飛起，當月光無比明亮
Swings his bat with all his might
他用盡全力揮出他的球棒
The world\'s as still, as still can be
整個世界靜得不能再靜
The baseball falls and that\'s strike three
棒球落地，那已經是三振
Now it\'s suppertime and his momma calls
晚餐\時間到了，他的媽媽在呼喚
Little boy starts home with his bat and ball
小男孩拿起他的棒與球，踏上歸途
Says, \"I am the greatest, that is a fact
他說，「我是最棒的，那可是事實
But even I didn\'t know I could pitch like that!\"
但連我自己都不知道我能夠那樣的投球！」
Says, \"I am the greatest, that is understood
他說，「我是最棒的，大家都已經公認
But even I didn\'t know I could pitch that good!\"
但連我自己都不知道我可以投得那麼好！」
