At the Institute for Information and Media Studies a tenure track position
as assistant professor is open for employment by August 1st 2008, or ASAP
thereafter.
The applicant must document research qualifications within the area of
modeling, i.e. the construction and use of formal representations within a
problem domain, such as it is used e.g. in object oriented modeling.
Applicants, who besides working with construction of models has also made
research in implementation of models in a communicative, experience
oriented or aesthetic context and/or has worked with design and
formalizing problems in the relationships between the model and the domain
, will be preferred.
The applicant must be ready to undertake teaching within the areas of
digital representations (programming) and digital models (system
development). The applicant is requested to inform the institute about
other fields in which he/she can offer courses at postgraduate level.

The institute was founded in 1986 and is still expanding. At the moment
some 40 faculty is employed, some 20 PhD students and 10 administrative
staff. Around 1000 students study here and the institute offers some 12
different study programs.
The Institute is placed in the IT Park, Katrinebjerg, Aarhus, and hosts
some 30 foreign students every year, a number expected to grow.
Applicants with no knowledge of the Danish language are expected to learn
the language during the two first years at a level, making it possible to
manage to participate in all functions at the institute.
Daily presence is expected.

Applicants having worked theoretically and methodologically with
experience experience-based applications of interaction technology or the
use of ICT in the context of organizations, will be preferred.
The applicant must be ready to undertake teaching within the areas of

postgraduate level.

disciplinary, humanities research and teaching environment, working with
