[問題] 千里馬出國是否需繳國外學費？

由於想申請今年度的千里馬計畫，
日前寫信找國外指導教授，教授表示願意收我，
但他不確定我是否需要繳學費。（似乎與哈佛的校方規定有關）
如果我確定沒有要修課，只是希望有個身份能進圖書館查詢資料，
那麼請問我需要繳國外的學費嗎？
可否請申請過的前輩分享經驗呢？謝謝！

I would be very happy to host you as a visiting student for a semester
or a year, but there are some difficulties due to Harvard's rules.
Graduate students who have not finished their PhD's are usually required
to pay tuition--which is expensive--sometimes universities in China and
Taiwan can pay this, and sometimes not. But this is something I cannot control.
There may be a difference is you are not taking classes.
