[領域] Special Relativity [來源] Midterm Exam [題目] Sally and Sam's spaceship (each of proper length 230m) pass each other with constant speed v. Sally measures a time interval of 3.57x10^-6 sec for Sam's ship to pass her. What's the relative Beta(=v/c) between Sally and Sam? [瓶頸] 我的想法是,先做Lorentz's transformation算出Sally看Sam的長度L',所以 Sam pass Sally的時間就是(L'+230m)/v = 3.57x10^-6 sec;由此算出Beta。但是題目是 說proper length = 230m,所以我搞不太懂230m到底是Lorentz's轉換前還是轉換後的長 度;也就是說我不知道是要用羅倫茲轉換算Sally看Sam移動中的長度,還是要由移動中轉 換到靜止長度。麻煩板上強者幫忙了,謝謝。 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 118.171.115.116
