[問題] Hall effect

[h888512 (理論型嘴砲)]

假設一塊鋁有n個價電子

則有n/3個鋁原子,因為1個cell在一個Brillouine zone貢獻1個state

所以鋁在1st B.Z 全滿,則有2n/3個電子

而剩下n/3則填在2nd和3rd B.Z.裡面

但因為2nd B.Z.的電子,其在磁場下的運動行為像hole一樣

又第二布里淵區的電子電洞總數等於2n/3

且第二第三布里淵區電子總數n/3

兩式相減,得第三布里淵區電子數減去第二布里淵區電洞數等於-n/3

故鋁的霍爾係數是正值.

我的問題是,既然在第二布里淵區裡電子的傳導行為像hole

那為何電洞數不是直接等於電子數,還是說第二布里淵區實際上就是靠電洞傳導??
