Hi,

A. Garrett Lisi is a remarkable physicist. I wrote two short articles
on him and posted them on the PTT Physics Board about three years ago.
His 2007 ArXiv preprint (arXiv:0711.0770) has been cited 6 times since
then (based on Web of Science) by others, including Lee Smolin's 2009
Physical Review D Paper.

Interestingly enough, his easy version of his famous E8 story was
published in Scientific American in Dec of 2010 (Source: Science
American (2010), Dec: 30-37; Author: A. Garrett Lisi & James Owen
Weatherall; Title: A geometric theory of everything).
Hopefully, this article is accessible to current undergrad
physics majors. In addition, the more-to-explore section at the end
of this article allows curious readers to devle deeply into
the subject matter.

Finally, an experiment to prove or disprove his theory will be
highly desirable in the near future.
