The Pirates announced that they acquired Robert Andino from the Seattle
Mariners in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
Andino will report to Triple A Indianapolis.
In 85 plate appearances this season Andino batted .184/.253/.237. The 29 year
old infielder has posted a .232/.294/.318 slash line in 1467 career plate
appearances.
The Mariners designated Andino for assignment in May 24. He is viewed a above
average defender.
