DENVER -- Pistons coach Flip Saunders hadn't seen a team abuse his defense like
this is a long, long time.
    丹佛訊 -- 活塞的老桑教練還沒看過有哪支球隊可以這麼長一段時間無視於活塞的防

"They looked like the Bud Lite Daredevils going off a trampoline," he said.

Nope. It was just Carmelo Anthony, Kenyon Martin and the Denver Nuggets running
a dunk line on the Pistons in a 98-87 romp Wednesday.
    其實不然，他描述地不過是Melo、K-Mart及丹佛金塊星期三輕輕鬆鬆以98比87解決活
塞的比賽情形。

"I would like to say we did something good, but we didn't," Saunders said. "We
had something to do with that, but it had more to do with how the Nuggets
played. They played at an extremely high level."

The Nuggets, a team the Pistons spanked by 25 points in November, were quicker,
hungrier, nastier and better on this night.

"We got beat at some of our own things," said Chauncey Billups, who led the
Pistons with 27 points. "Energy, aggressiveness, hitting the boards, they beat
us at all of that."

Beat? More like dominated. The Nuggets outrebounded the Pistons 59-35. Denver
got to the basket seemingly at will, scoring 60 points in the lane.

The Nuggets converted 25 layups, dunks and tips out of 42 baskets. Ten of those
came on alley-oop plays.

"We were a half-second slow and they were throwing it up there," Saunders said.

The Pistons, whose six game winning streak ended, never did quite adjust to the
play.

"They do it from so many angles and Andre (Miller, 11 assists) is such a great
passer," Billups said.

"Even in the first half, when we were playing great, we were still playing
their style of game," said Tayshaun Prince.

"We were just making shots, and that kept us in the game. In the second half,
we kept playing their style and it backfired on us."

As badly as the Pistons were being outplayed, though, it still took two
improbable three-pointers in the fourth quarter by power forward Martin to
secure the victory.

進了，這場比賽還有得打。

Billups missed a layup that would have brought the Pistons within four with
less than five minutes left.

Martin, who was 1-for-12 from beyond the arc, drained a three-pointer as the
shot clock expired. He added another three-pointer later, and Anthony slammed
home two more dunks to finally quell the Pistons.
    K-Mart，這場比賽前三分球出手12次僅命中1球的非射手，在24秒進攻時間完結前賽進
一顆三分球，之後他又賽進另外一顆，Melo再補上一記灌籃，這才壓制住活塞的反撲。

"If you don't come out and play this team that way, they'll beat you," said
Martin, who finished with 28 points and 12 rebounds. "They're too good. This
game showed we can play with anybody in this league."
    終場共取得28分、12籃板的K-Mart說"如果你不這樣打球的話，他們一定會海K你一頓
。他們太優秀了，但這場比賽也證明我們有能力打敗聯盟中任何一支隊伍。"

Anthony finished with 25 points. Marcus Camby added 12 points, 20 rebounds and
five blocks.
    Melo拿下25分，M.Camby則為金塊添得12分、20個籃板和5次阻攻。

Camby helped reduce the Pistons to a stand-around perimeter-shooting team. They
had 24 points in the lane, and made 10 of 24 three-pointers.
    Camby幫助壓制活塞，使他們成了一支只會在外圍開砲的球隊。活塞這場比賽禁區得分
僅有24分，倒是在三分線表現還不錯，24投10中。

This one would be best forgotten quickly by the Pistons, who now have 10 losses
and will have to win their remaining 25 games to tie the Chicago Bulls' record
of 72 victories.
    這場敗仗活塞最好趕快忘掉，他們目前敗場數來到10場，而且剩下的25場比賽必須保
持全勝才足以追平公牛例行賽72勝10敗的神話。
