LOS ANGELES -- Maybe we need to call them, Misters Big Shot.

Chauncey Billups might have patent rights on the Mr. Big Shot nickname, but his
backcourt partner has recently been stealing some of his late-game magic.

Surgery for McDyess

Antonio McDyess is planning on having surgery Monday to repair his broken nose.

"They are telling me to do it now because it's already broken," he said. "It
would be worse if they wait. All they have to do now is reset it."

McDyess said he didn't expect to miss any games. The Pistons don't play again
until Wednesday.

McDyess wore the protective mask for the first time in the game Friday. He was
hit once again on his broken nose.

The Pistons rookie tandem of Amir Johnson and Alex Acker made a rather
auspicious NBDL (development league) debut at Fayetteville Friday.

Acker scored 28 points in 21 minutes, hitting all 10 of his free throws and 8

They helped the Patriots score a rare victory, 132-120 over Roanoke. It raised
