For many NBA players, the NCAA tournament means one thing.
對很多NBA球員來說，NCAA巡迴賽代表同一件事情。
"That's when guys get to trash-talk," Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace said. "
And it's pretty much stroll down Memory Lane. You know, when cats say, 'Oh,
back when I was playing, when we went to the tournament and this and that.'
It's just a stroll down Memory Lane more than anything."

And some big talk. Not surprisingly, Wallace started talking smack not long
after the tournament selection show Sunday. That's because the Charlotte
Bobcats were in town.

Wallace played at North Carolina. Bobcats swingman Alan Anderson helped
Michigan State to the Final Four last season. The two talked about a possible
North Carolina-MSU matchup in the second round.

(Texas) and Antonio McDyess (Alabama). Cincinnati, where rookie Jason Maxiell
played, was snubbed.

D.C., Regional -- Wallace, Prince, Delk and Hamilton.

A reporter told Wallace that one team would have an early exit. Wallace's
response, "It ain't going to be us. I can tell you that now."

As of Tuesday's practice, Wallace said he and his teammates had not filled out

would pull for MSU coach Tom Izzo, a good friend, and the five other Big Ten
teams in the tournament.

For Saunders and other NBA coaches, the NCAA tournament doesn't necessarily
mean trash-talking.

"I have coaches who are peers out there I root for, and you want those people
to win more," Saunders said. "I'm just like everybody else. When it comes
outside your own league, I think I'm just like everybody else -- a basketball
fan. It's a fun time of the year. For us, it's playoffs. For college, it's
March Madness. Usually we know when March Madness comes we're not far behind,
so that's the exciting part."

A PHILLY LINK: Wallace never played for John Chaney, the Temple coach who
retired Monday after 24 years at the Philadelphia school. But Wallace is linked
to the Hall of Fame coach in several ways. Both are Philadelphia natives.
Wallace played at Simon Gratz High; Chaney coached there 40 years ago.
Wallace's high school coach, Bill Ellerbee, has been on Chaney's Temple staff
for the last four years. Chaney and Ellerbee are close friends, and while
Wallace was in high school, Chaney recruited him.

那並不影響他是個偉大教練的事實。"
