Pistons coach Flip Saunders stuck to a shorter rotation
in the victory over the Spurs on Friday, opting not to
play Amir Johnson or Arron Afflalo and getting Juan Dixon
and Jason Maxiell less than five minutes each.
“I wanted to try and see where we’re at,” Saunders said.
Part of his reasoning was to keep working in Theo Ratliff,
who was needed anyway to confront Tim Duncan.
But he said anyone thinking the young players are all out
of the playoff rotation should wait and see.
“(Rodney Stuckey) is definitely in the rotation,” Saunders
said. “I think a lot just depends on who you’re playing.
(Today) is a prime game where Amir could give us some time
because of who we’re playing.”
