Sonics assistant general manager Scott Perry will announce Thursday that he
has accepted the job of vice president of basketball operations for the
Detroit Pistons, replacing John Hammonds, who took the GM position with the
Milwaukee Bucks. Perry spent one season with the Sonics and the move is a
promotion for the Pistons former director of player personnel.
