Point guard controls tempo

NEW YORK -- Huge numbers are nice, but if Rodney Stuckey plays with the quiet
efficiency he displayed Wednesday night, the Pistons will be a tough out in
the playoffs.
拿下一場大比分的勝利當然很棒，但假如Stuckey能維持週三晚上的出色表現，
活塞往後在季後賽的路可能很難出局。

Stuckey's 14 points and seven assists played a part in the Pistons' 113-86
demolition of the Knicks.

Stuckey ran the offense smoothly and committed only two turnovers. But his
performance went beyond the stat line for coach Michael Curry. He was more
impressed when the second-year point guard showed patience when the play just
wasn't there.

"Three or four times we got the rebound and he pushed the break, didn't have

him."

Stuckey has been inconsistent of late, which was not unexpected. But veteran
Rip Hamilton was impressed Wednesday night.

"He controlled tempo. He made plays and kept his dribble," said Hamilton.
"When guys were open, he got them the ball."

STOPPING LEE
Pistons killer David Lee was held in check with only nine points and four
rebounds.

Before Wednesday, Lee averaged 15 points and 17.3 rebounds through the first
three games against Detroit this season.

Lee, a 6-foot-9, fourth-year power forward out of Florida, leads the NBA in
double-doubles (62) and was averaging 16.1 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.

The Pistons have struggled with athletic big men all season.

Also, when the Knicks use Lee as the pick man on the pick-and-roll, the
Knicks still spread the floor with three-point shooters all around the
perimeter -- forcing the Pistons to guard the perimeter and not protect the
paint against Lee's offensive rebounding.
當尼克使用Lee來打PnR戰術的pick man，同時周圍又佈好了三分射手埋伏。
總是迫使活塞得放棄Lee這邊，讓Lee有更多抓下進攻籃板的機會。
"He puts a lot of pressure on you when he rolls to the basket," Curry said.
"He's really quick to the rebound, so he causes a lot of problems because of
that."

HOUSE OF HORRORS
Madison Square Garden has been a tough place for Hamilton to keep his cool.
In two of his previous three games at the storied arena before Wednesday,
Hamilton received two technicals and was automatically ejected. But Hamilton
also scored a career-high 51 points at the Garden in a triple-overtime loss
in December 2006.
麥迪遜廣場總是讓Hamilton難以保持冷靜。週三之前，在這傳奇性的球場打過的三場比
