Pistons end disappointing regular season with another loss
再一次的輸球使得活塞失望地結束這個球季

MIAMI – With many of their best players in street clothes, the Pistons and
Heat finished up the regular season Wednesday with very little at stake.
週三的比賽是熱火與活塞本季最後一場例行賽。
因為這場比賽對雙方而言都已經無關重要，所以很多最棒的球員都穿著便服現身。

So after the Heat’s Chris Quinn went off for a career-high 26 points –
 including 19 points in the fourth quarter and overtime – to lead the Heat
to a 102-96 victory, the Pistons could start looking ahead to the postseason.
That begins this weekend at Cleveland against the red-hot Cavs.
熱火的Chris Quinn拿下生涯新高的26分 - 其中有19分是在第四節與加時賽所拿到。
使得熱火以102-96拿下這場勝利，活塞也該開始準備即將到來的季後賽。

The Pistons face a daunting task – derailing the Cavs after one of the best
seasons in NBA history. Cleveland finished with a 66-16 record and lost just
two games at home all season.
要幹掉本季擁有聯盟史上優秀戰績之一的騎士 - 對活塞而言這是件令人氣餒的苦差事。
本季騎士的戰績是66勝16負，甚至一整個球季下來在主場只輸掉過兩場比賽。

There was very little talk of the Heat in the locker room following the
Pistons’ most recent loss - only Mission Impossible.
熱火私底下也有人認為活塞最近正陷入連敗狀況不佳，想打敗騎士是不可能的任務。

“They got a pretty good record right now, a pretty good home record,” said
Rasheed Wallace, who played nine minutes and had three points and one
rebound. “They feeling themselves right now, but it’s going to be a David
vs. Goliath.

The Pistons finish the season on a three-game losing streak, blowing a chance
at a higher seed and a lesser opponent in the first round and finishing with
a mediocre 39-43 record.

You have to wonder if Wallace was showing false bravado, but Rip Hamilton,
who rested Wednesday, said the team has no choice but to think they can pull
off the upset.

沒得選擇，現在只能拋下一切悲觀的想法來面對。

“The playoffs are here, you really got to put everything behind you,” he
said. “You just got to come out ready to play.

“Everybody knows it’s been a long season with so many different things
going on, but you got to put all that behind you and just say let’s go out
and try to win some games.”

The Pistons could have won Wednesday except for one minor issue: they couldn’
t stop Quinn.

Antonio McDyess joined Hamilton on the sidelines to rest while the Heat sat
superstar Dwayne Wade, along with regulars Jamario Moon, Udonis Haslem and
Jermaine O’Neal.

Quinn scored the Heat’s last five points to cap off his night. It looked
like the Pistons had taken control with an 11-2 run midway through the fourth
quarter to take an 80-74 lead. But Quinn scored 13 of the Heat’s last 15
points in regulation, including a triple with 23 seconds left. Kwame Brown’s
putback with 2.6 seconds left sent the game into overtime.
Quinn拿下熱火最後五分。第四節活塞原本打出一波11-2的攻勢將比分領先到80-74。
但Quinn包辦熱火正規賽最後15分當中的13分，當中包括最後剩下23秒時投進的三分球。
Kwame在最後2.6秒的補籃將比賽送入延長賽。

“We just tried to keep coming,” said Brown, who scored 17 points and
grabbed 13 rebounds. “We didn’t want to come out here and have a lackluster
performance just because the game was meaningless. We wanted to come out and
play hard so we could get a win and take us over into the playoffs.”

Wallace struggled trying to guard Heat rookie Michael Beasley.
Rasheed在防守熱火菜鳥Beasley的時候遇上了點麻煩。

Beasley, the No. 2 overall pick in last year’s draft, got the Heat off to a
good start with 14 first-quarter points on 7-for-12 shooting.
去年選秀榜眼的Beasley，讓熱火在這場比賽有個好的開始。
他以7-12的命中率，在第一節拿下14分。
