LAS VEGAS -- Greg Monroe is known as a great passer for a big man.

In just a short time, he has made a believer out of Detroit Pistons teammate
Austin Daye.

Monroe, Daye and the rest of the players on the Summer League roster for the
Pistons have had three practices in the past two days as they prepare for
their Summer League opener Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

It is the first time 2009-10 rookies Jonas Jerebko, DaJuan Summers and Daye
have been on the court with Monroe, the seventh overall pick in the 2010

Daye came away impressed.

"His passing is just how they said it was," Daye told Pistons.com after
practice Wednesday morning. "They said he could really pass, and I saw that

to a cutter inside that was a pretty tight hole, but he got it through there.

Monroe averaged 3.8 assists last season as a sophomore at Georgetown.

Second-round pick Terrico White is an amazing athlete who turned in a 40-inch
vertical leap during the NBA pre-draft camp in Chicago. The Pistons expect
him to play both guard positions.

Daye likes what he sees out of White as well.

"I dont know what position he played in college, the two or the one, but I
can see the potential in him to play the one," Daye said. "Whatever we need
from him, from what I've seen in the first two days, he'll be able to handle
it."

The Pistons likely will have their five key young players on the floor at the
same time during Summer League games.
活塞將可能讓他們五個年輕的核心球員同時在夏季聯盟中上場比賽
White and Daye could pair up in the backcourt with Summers and Jerebko at the
forward spots and Monroe at center.
The length that lineup provides could cause matchup problems for opponents.
That lineup would give the Pistons a 6-foot-5 point guard, a 6-11 shooting
guard and just two players on the floor under 6-10 (White and the 6-8
Summers).
