Capital Encounter is a one-week program, targeted to students who cannot
serve a regular, 15-week internship in Washington. Nine to eleven students
travel with Professor Tim Chambless to Washington, D.C. in the Spring
Semester of each year. Students who engage in this whirlwind of activity get
to:
* Spend an hour with a U.S. Supreme Court Justice
* Meet with Utah’s Congressional Delegation
* Discuss foreign policy with a former National Security Advisor
* Interact with professional Washington lobbyists
* Question prominent national journalists
* Tour the White House, Treasury Building and Library of Congress
* Have VIP tours of U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Capitol Building
* See Holocaust and Smithsonian Museums
* Visit Gettysburg National Battlefield in Pennsylvania
* Tour Arlington National Cemetery and the historic Mall
* Visit National Public Radio, C-SPAN, and the Newseum
* Experience CIA Headquarters in Langley, Virginia

宿、團費等費用，約500美金。
■2007年本計畫擬招收包含來自日本、台灣、加拿大等地10-12名大學部學生參與，參加
學生需英文能力佳。
