[心得] Love's sign test

At first year in NTU,I have asked you dating with me 8 times.
And you accepted my invitation 6 times.

Whether do you like me more than others?
In order to solve this problem.
First,I ruled Ho, "you don't like me more than others", is true.
Now I wanna reject Ho and accept H1, you like me more than others.
I set arpha as 0.05 to limit the probability of Type I error.

I knew you always accept boys' invitation once if they have asked you twice.
So,Pnull equals 0.5

P(6,7,8 times you accepted my invitation)=P(6)+P(7)+P(8)
=0.5^8 ( 8!/(6!2!) + 8!/(7!1!) + 8!/8!)=0.145

Because 0.145 > alpha = 0.05, I have to retain Ho.
I made a conclusion that I'm just a common boy like others in your eyes.
So, I did not tell you I love you.

But today you tell me
when we studied together in Phychology Department of NTU, you love me,too.
I am shaked when I hear this.But now it's too late.
You are marriaged and I.....
I am still a single man and perhaps will be alone forever.....
