  不太確定這裡 make out 的意思
  不過查了一下 有"使裝作;裝作"、"沒法應付"
  我會偏向"使裝作;裝作"的意思
  整句就會變成"當他們方寸盡失時，他們卻又裝作沒事"(...或類似的話)
