「鄉愁政治學」: 民族主義專題

課程簡介：本課程的主要目的在透過重要經典的閱讀與討論
，帶領學生熟悉當代 西方人文、社會科學對民族主義之主要
研究成果，並將這些研究成果與台灣政治 發展經驗相互印證
。基於跨學科、比較與實證的視野，批判的歷史意識，以及
對知識生產之自我反省 (self-reflexive) 精神，我們將本課程
的結構分為四個主要部 分。在第一部份，我們將逐一討論對
八零年代以後出現的三個主要的民族主義理 論典範─Gellner
的結構功能論理論，Anderson 的比較史/人類學/文本分析，
和 Chatterjee 的後殖民主義/意識形態研究。在第二部分，我
們將分別介紹當代社會、 人文相關學科所發展出來的幾個重
要的研究途徑，如政治學/社會學的制度論與 理性抉擇，文學
批評的敘事分析理論等，以及族群、性別與全球化等主題。
在第 三部分，我們將探討民族主義的倫理面向。具體而言，
我們將介紹政治哲學對民 族主義的反省，並討論知識份子與
民族主義之關係。在第四部分，我們將焦點由西方理論拉回
臺灣的歷史脈絡之中。
課程要求：閱讀教材，輪流報告(15 分鐘)，參與討論，以及
期末報告一篇(6000-10000 字)。期末報告「截稿」時間：請
在 2000 年 1 月 23 日中午以前，將 報告電子檔寄給授課教
師，並將報告紙本送至政治系系辦公室。(期末報告體裁 請
參照《台大政治科學論叢》。)
評分標準：課堂報告與參與討論 (50%)，期末報告 (50%)。
