Dear all, The new syllabus of Micro Theory I is now uploaded on the course website: http://homepage.ntu.edu.tw/~josephw/Experimental_Syllabus_10F.pdf There will be an oral presentation in part 1 (Behavioral Game Theory) and a case study in part 2 (Optimization, Uncertainty and Information). Thus, you guys have to form a group in the beginning of the semester: 1. Each group might have 3-4 members 2. There are 18 topics, including 9 research papers and 9 chapters in Ariely's book. Joseph and I will have a "demo presentation" on Fri. He will present Own and Wang (2010) and I will present the first chapter of Ariely's book. Then you guys can choose the topic from the remaining materials. Advanced students are recommended to choose the research papers from the list. 3. Since the first two groups have to present their topics next week, we have to determine the members and the topic of each group as soon as possible. You guys have to form your own group and choose the topic which you want to present and send it to me before the class on Wed. The format of this mail: Subject: [Micro] Our Group Members (The group leader's Chinese name) Text: 1. The members of your group 2. The selected topic: including your first and second priorities 3. The group leader's name & E-mail If a topic is selected by more than one group, the one who send it to me earlier will get this topic. 4. The members of your group will not change during the full semester. You have to complete a presentation, a case study and a computer HW with the same guys. So, please choose your group members carefully. By the way, there will be a programming HW in the end of part 1. Each group has to hand in your own codes. I will teach you how to write down these codes with MATLAB later. But you still have to try to be familiar with it before we start the programming course. My advice is that you can try to finish your Econometric Theory assignments with both R and MATLAB. (You can use R to finish it at first, and try to translate these codes into MATLAB language) TA Jack Shu-yu Liu (劉書彧) r99323001@ntu.edu.tw -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.112.211.45 ※ 編輯: Jackliu2619 來自: 140.112.211.45 (09/14 01:56)
