Since some of the students finally decided to drop this course, I have to
arrange for outsiders (those who don't major in Economics) to join another
group. So, I have to apologize for those who were assigned to another group
by me. I've post the final version of the group list on CEIBA, so your group
members will not be changed anymore. If you can't find your group members,
please tell me by e-mail.
The first group has to present their topic next Friday. Since there are
only 10 minutes for you to present the whole article, it is impossible to
talk about everything within the allotted time. Therefore, you can't present
the whole article in detail, you have to omit the unimportant part of this
article. And since it is an English oral presentation, most of you have to
practice more harder. I am sorry for setting a bad example yesterday (I did
not finish my presentation in time). I had only two days to prepare for it,
so I think all of you can do better than me. Joseph has post an article
about how to prepare for an English oral presentation on CEIBA, I think it
will be helpful.
If you have any questions about the article, you can discuss with me or
Joseph. I will try to read all the papers on the reading list. If I haven't
read them yet, you can discuss with Joseph at his office hours.
PS1 Since it is a 10-minutes presentation, you can only assign one
person to present it.
PS2 Since the contents of Ariely's book are based on the research papers,
you also have to read them to understand the details of the experiments
and their results in the book.
