Josh Hamilton, Nelson Cruz ready to return to Rangers

Rangers outfielders Nelson Cruz and Josh Hamilton are scheduled to complete
three-game injury-rehabilitation assignments with Triple-A Round Rock's home
game against Colorado Springs, of the Colorado organization, Sunday. Two
games have been enough for Colorado Springs coach Rene Lachemann, a former
major-league manager with Seattle , Milwaukee and Florida.
"You can get them out of here now," Lachemann said during batting practice.
"They're ready."

Cruz (strained quadriceps) began play at 4-for-8 with two homers for Round
Rock. He also spent two games with Double-A Frisco last week. Hamilton
(fractured bone, right shoulder) was 2-for-7 with one homer.
Hamilton celebrated his 30th birthday with a three-run home run to right
field in the third to give the Express a 3-2 lead over Colorado Springs on
Sunday.

Serving as the designated hitter, Hamilton went 1-for-3 with a walk.
Not to be outdone, Cruz launched a solo homer to center in the fifth, the
second of his stint with the Express. The right fielder went 1-for-3 as Round
Rock beat the Sky Sox, 9-4.

Hamilton will DH when he returns from the disabled list. Both could return to
the Rangers Monday. The Rangers host the Chicago White Sox, 7:05 p.m. Monday.
