Statement from Boston Red Sox executive vice president/general manager Ben
Cherington regarding Rangers pitching coach Mike Maddux:

"Mike Maddux has withdrawn his name from consideration for the Boston Red Sox
managerial position and therefore will not interview with the team tomorrow.”
