Washington: Rangers won't go to six-man rotation


If and when the Rangers lock Yu Darvish up to a major-league contract,
they'll face something that's awfully unfamiliar to this franchise: a
plethora of pitching.

With Derek Holland, Matt Harrison , Colby Lewis and Alexi Ogando returning
from last year's rotation, the additions of Darvish and closer convert
Neftali Feliz would give the Rangers one starter too many for a traditional
five-man rotation.

One solution could be committing to an unorthodox six-man setup, but Rangers
manager Ron Washington didn't seem receptive to that thought earlier this
week.

"I don't think we'd consider a six-man rotation," Washington said on KTCK
1310 AM. "But that's depth that we have. ... Pitching is something that most
teams would like to have an abundance of, and if we happen to hypothetically
get Darvish signed on a contract, that certainly will give us some depth."

So who would be the odd man out for Texas? Many seem to think that the
easiest solution to the Rangers' rotation problem would be to shift Alexi
Ogando back to the bullpen, where he could provide the team with another
late-innings power arm and step in as a starter in case of emergency.

Still, Washington's remaining tight-lipped about the team's plans.

"That, right now, is not something we're considering," Washington said. "We
want Ogando to come in and work his innings as a starter. I think once we get
deeper into spring training and see how everything is settling down, then I
think that type of decision will be made."

也就是6人輪值

而華總表示他不打算啟用6人輪值

那就意味著有人得去牛棚

文中推測比較可能的選項是Ogando


但是這部份華總還是守口如瓶表示

這不是現在要考慮的事情

到了春訓之後自然就會有結果了
