[情報] Carlos Pena DFA

[rangers ( One strike away. Twice)]

Rangers designated 1B Carlos Pena for assignment.

In turn, the Rangers have activated Geovany Soto from the disabled list while
calling up J.P. Arencibia, who is expected to see most of the playing time at
first base. Pena hit just .136 (8-for-59) with one home run and 11 strikeouts
over 18 games with the Rangers.



Rangers purchased the contract of C/1B J.P. Arencibia from Triple-A Round
Rock.

Arencibia hit just .133/.182/.233 over 66 plate appearances with the Rangers
earlier this season, but now he's getting another chance. The difference this
time is that he is expected to see most of his playing time at first base now
that Carlos Pena has been designated for assignment.
