Real Madrid are hopeful of pushing through a deal to sign back Alvaro Arbeloa
from Liverpool for just €6 million next week, according to a report.

The Reds may be struggling to fend off the advances of the Spanish giants as
Real attempt to prise Xabi Alonso away from Anfield; but they are prepared to
do a deal for the defender.

Arbeloa is keen to return to the club where he rose through the ranks after
joining them from Real Zaragoza, and with Glen Johnson's arrival from
Portsmouth he will be allowed to leave, The Mirror states.

Liverpool have yet to name their price for the former Deportivo La Coruna
