Sevilla are looking to bolster their midfield line-up for the 2010-11
season by reuniting two former Real Madrid youth products.
According to AS, Los Nervionenses coach Antonio Alvarez has urged sporting
director Monchi to push for Esteban Granero and Dani Parejo, currently
at Getafe, as he views the midfield duo as his ideal partnership at
the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Earlier this summer, the Andalucians failed to close a deal to sign
Borja Valero, who is now on loan at Villarreal from West Bromwich Albion.
Other names that have been mention include Napoli playmaker Luca Cigarini,
Real Zaragoza's Ander Herrera and Standard Liege's Steven Defour.
Alvarez is hopeful that the good relationship between club president
Jose Maria del Nido and Madrid supremo Florentino Perez could
facilitate a deal to be brokered, as Granero is expected to have
limited playing options at the Santiago Bernabeu.
