Bombed forward at will and the Ajax midfield parted like the red sea for him
on more than one occasion.


Álvaro Arbeloa Coca    7.0

Scored a screamer from 35 yards and rampaged down the right as much as he
could.


Raúl Albiol Tortajada    6.0

Gave away a couple of dangerous free-kicks but otherwise untroubled.


Lassana Diarra    6.5

Strong on the ball and won possession back well for Madrid. He never gave
Ajax a moments rest.


Xabi Alonso    5.0

Was having a good match until his stupidity resulted in a sending off.


Mesut Özil   7.5    Top of the Match

Excellent backheel into the path of Benzema for this first. He was busy all
night and created a number of opportunities for his team mates.


Pedro León    6.5

Worked hard to win the ball back for his team and also started a number of
counter attacks for his side.


Cristiano Ronaldo    8.0

A constant thorn in Ajax's side all evening and his persistence meant he
finished the game with two goals.


Karim Benzema    7.0

Lovely finish for the first goal. Though was a bit wasteful with other
chances he had.

Ángel Fabián Di María  7.0

Good awareness to intercept for the third and provided an exquisite ball for
Ronaldo.
