http://yankees.lohudblogs.com/2007/05/22/new-york-media-rallies-to-4-2-win/ The New York sportswriters rallied this morning to beat Boston 4-2 at Yankee Stadium. The game was called in the middle of the seventh due to time constraints. That’s 11 straight for New York against Boston. Down 2-1, we scored three runs in the fifth inning. After Tom Verducci (Sports Illustrated), Jack Curry (Times) and Anthony McCarron (Daily News) loaded the bases by drawing walks, Pete Caldera of The Record was hit by a pitch. Pete Botte of the Daily News delivered a two-run single to give us the lead. Tyler Kepner of the Times was the winning pitcher, going 6.1 innings. He had his usual array of Mussina-like offerings. Bob Klapisch of The Record picked up the save and was filthy as he retired every batter he faced. Caldera played a fine second base and there were several nice catches in the outfield by Botte, Verducci and Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. Kevin Devaney of the Journal News caught and threw out a runner stealing. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.112.212.196
