Considering the type of year Josh Beckett is having, I think he would be the
Boston pitcher most likely to win the Cy Young Award. It would be hard for
Okajima to win the award since Jonathan Papelbon is regarded as the best
reliever the Red Sox have. Winning a Cy Young Award for a setup man is
basically unprecedented, though back in the day, closers were used much like
setup men. What I mean by that is that a closer would often come in with the
bases loaded and two outs in the seventh and pitch the rest of the game.
