Red Sox Pedroia leaves with elbow injury
August 23, 2007 ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.

Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia left Wednesday night's
game at Tampa Bay with a bruised left elbow.

波士頓紅襪隊二壘手Dustin Pedroia在禮拜三晚上因為左手肘受傷，
離開了與坦帕灣魔鬼魚交手的比賽。


Pedroia was hit by a pitch from Edwin Jackson leading off the third.
He remained in the game and later scored on Mike Lowell's sacrifice fly,
but was replaced defensively in the bottom of the inning by Alex Cora.
X-rays were negative.

Pedroia在第三局上場打擊的時候被Edwin Jackson打到。
他回憶比賽當時的情形，被擊中不久，Mike Lowell打出高飛犧牲打讓他得分。
不過為了安全起見，在比賽快結束時，由Cora代打，並馬上送去做X光檢查。


"We were really concerned when we got out there,"
Red Sox manager Terry Francona said.
"He said he'll be OK tomorrow, but we'll see about that."

Terry Francona說：我們真的很擔心他。
接著Francona又說：他說他明天會好點，但我們拭目以待。


Pedroia is hitting .323 with six homers and 38 RBIs in 107 games.

Pedroia在本季107場比賽中的打擊率有3成23、6支全壘打、38個打點。


"It just hit me in the right spot," Pedrioa said.
"I really couldn't bend my arm much.
Basically, my whole arm went numb, so we took some X-rays to be safe.
I don't think I've ever been hit that hard before."

Pedroia說：它就那麼剛好打到我的右邊...
           我的手臂無法做太大的彎曲，基本上，整隻手臂都是麻的，
           所以為了安全起見才去照X光，之前不曾有這麼嚴重的情況。


Boston outfielder Eric Hinske left in the fourth with a muscle cramp
in his right calf. Bobby Kielty took over in left field.

襪子的外野手Eric Hinske在四局時因為右小腿抽筋而離賽，
Bobby Kielty則上場取代他的位置。


"I think it's a bad cramp or a mild strain," Hinske said.
"It's weird. I've never pulled a muscle before,
so I wasn't sure what happened,
but it just felt like someone kicked me in the leg real hard."

Hinske說：我想這是個很嚴重的抽筋或是輕微的扭傷。　
　　　　　這真的很詭異，我從來沒有拉成那樣，所以我不確定是什麼情況，
          但是就像有人活生生的踹了你一腳。    (鬼月!? XDD)


Hinske got the start because Boston manager Terry Francona
wanted to rest Manny Ramirez.

Hinske在這場比賽為先發的原因是因為Terry Francona想要讓Manny Ramirez休息。

呼，凌晨那場沒看到Pedroia排在先發名單內，就覺得很詭異
結果是因為上一場比賽被打到 (嗚嗚，那場比賽有要事，所以沒看到 T__T)
本來以為會休息個幾天，不過沒想到晚上就上場了
