David Ortiz strongly denied an ESPN Deportes report that his sore knee
might cause him to miss a playoff game.

"No," Ortiz said. "Now? No. I've got to go. Hey, look. I'm all right.
I'll come back to play tomorrow and we'll get it done. We'll be all
right...After the last game it was very, very swollen, but I'm better
now. I just had a lot of swelling. It really was so very, very big.
It's fine today. It went back to normal." Ortiz, who will have the knee
surgically repaired in the offseason, had a cortisone shot Sept. 29,
just before the postseason started.

Manager Terry Francona doesn't plan on giving Jacoby Ellsbury a start
in an effort to boost the Red Sox offense.

"I don't want to do things differently because we have more time on
our hands," Francona said. "Our team is our team and we'll go play.
Certainly, Ellsbury can impact a game like he did the other night, but
I don't think we have to deviate from our team." Bobby Kielty will once
again start in place of J.D. Drew when the Red Sox face C.C. Sabathia
in Game 5.
