Craig Hansen underwent a procedure for sleep apnea following the Arizona

Fall League season.

It was reported back in September that he would. Hansen battled fatigue

because of the condition. "I have to believe that day-to-day functions,

if you are not getting sound sleep throughout the night, it is going to

 cause fatigue," pitching coach John Farrell said. "The whole intent

 here is to have it behind him." Hansen will be a long shot to win a

spot in Boston's pen in spring training, but no one is giving up on the

hard-throwing 24-year-old.
