[新聞] Lowrie surgery likely in next day

    While addressing the media after the game, Red Sox manager Terry
    Francona revealed that Jed Lowrie is expected to have wrist
    surgery in the next day or so, a procedure that will keep the
    shortstop out for several weeks.

    Francona indicated that if all goes well for the Sox, Lowrie could
     be back playing "by the All-Star break,'' which is about as
    positive an outcome as the Sox could ask for at this stage.

    Lowrie met with Dr. Donald Sheridan in Arizona on Monday morning.

    Lowrie has had discomfort in the wrist since last May, and while
    the pain subsided over the winter, it began bothering him again
    late in spring training. After getting just one hit in his first
    18 at-bats this season, he admitted to manager Terry Francona that
     he was again feeling pain in the wrist.

    As for Rocco Baldelli, who left today's game after four innings,
    Francona acknowledged that the player has had some tightness in
    his hamstring recently, a problem that Baldelli aggravated running
     the bases today. The Sox now appear a little shorthanded in the
    outfield, though Baldelli probably would not have been available
    Tuesday, anyway. That may give the Sox a day or two before
    determining whether a roster move is necessary.

    As for the victory, Francona said what you would expect him to,
    focusing on the performance of Justin Masterson.

    "It was a good day,'' said the manager.

   Jed Lowrie預計接下來幾天就會接受手腕手術，大約在明星賽後可以歸隊。

   另外Baldelli今天退場原因是大腿緊繃，是幾天前就有的，今天又拉到同個
   部位，不過看起來問題不大！

   另外Francona提到Masterson表現不錯，今天是好天。
