標題[魚乾] Mike Timlin 試圖復出

The Rockies are casting a wide net in their search for relief help. They
worked out free agent Mike Timlin on Monday at Coors Field and Tuesday they
promoted Ryan Speier from Triple-A Colorado Springs to replace slumping Joel
Peralta.
Timlin, 43, pitched for the Red Sox last season, posting a 5.66 ERA in 47
games. He makes his year-round home in Colorado and said during an earlier
visit to Coors Field this season he would like to pitch again if a team
called.
Mike Timlin tucked his No. 50 black and red cleats into a backpack Wednesday
at Coors Field after another bullpen session, hopeful he can land a
minor-league deal with Colorado. The 43-year-old free agent

"Sometimes the time off helps," said Timlin, who has kept his arm in shape by
playing catch with former Red Sox teammate Mike Myers — who played for the
Rockies in 2000 and 2001 — and tossing batting practice to his son's youth
team. "I believe I can still pitch," Timlin said.
