你認為你明年就能在紅襪先發嗎?

: I only worry about what I can control. I will go to spring training and I'll
: give it my best and we'll see. I'll work hard in spring training, and maybe
: they'll give me the opportunity. Only they know. If the team believes that I
: need to start the year in the minors, then I'll understand. I've been
: fighting a long time for my future. Now that my major league career has
: started, I just want to get going. Eventually, I want to get to the Hall of
: Fame.

他會盡全力在春訊好好表現看看是否有機會 只是球隊應該會認為他需要在小聯盟磨練
他也很明白這一點. 他一直都為了他的將來努力 並且他的目標是入選名人堂..
(你又不是WIETERS..這句話太早了啦..)

: What are your thoughts on the criticism that you're a terrific defensive
: player but that you're limited offensively?

有些人認為你是守備極好但是打擊能力有限的選手 你怎麼看待這樣的評論?

: I think it's a fair criticism, right now. People wouldn't say it if there
: wasn't some truth to it. But hearing that just makes me work. People said the
: same thing in Cuba when I was 16. They wondered why I couldn't hit. But then
: I was able to hit the next season (.322 average in 2007-08). In regards to my
: glove work, sure I've been blessed with abilities, but I've had to work hard,
: too. As a young kid, my dad used to spend hours hitting me almost 200 ground
: balls a day. In terms of my offense, I feel good. I'm a contact hitter and a
: hitter that hits to all fields. I feel like I'm a complete player. I only
: need experience.

他認為這樣的評論很正常 畢竟他過去的打擊成績證明不了什麼 然而這樣的話
反而讓他更努力 在他16歲時候 他就在古巴聽過這樣的評論 再隔年 他打出.322的打擊率
在守備方面他老爸總是一天花了幾小時的時間每天讓他練習200顆內野滾地球
打擊的話 他認為他是contact hitter並且能把球打到球場的各各角落..
他認為他只是多需要經驗的磨鍊

: What player would you compare yourself to?

你希望你能與哪位球員相提並論呢?

: I'd say I have the talent to maybe play like Derek Jeter. He's an intelligent
: player and I always am studying him. He's a team player. He might not have
: the best glove or the best bat, but he's a team player. My dad always tells
: me that before he dies he wants to see me stand next to Derek Jeter. He's a
: living legend. I admire him so much. I would love to meet him.

他的回答是JETER(打擊的話 是很好 但守備..還是不要吧..) 他認為JETER是很聰
明的球員 或許守備跟打擊都不算超強 但是 是個team player 他老爸一直希望
他能夠在死前見到兒子站在JETER旁邊(是指成就能跟JETER相提並論?)
他認為JETER是傳奇人物 也很欣賞他.

你最喜歡的球員是JETER 你認為紅襪迷知道你最喜歡的球員事陽基隊員 球迷會怎麼想?

: Fans should be happy that I want to reach that level. I want to be the Derek
: Jeter of Boston. I want them to understand that. I don't want to be a Derek
: Jeter in New York. I want to be Derek Jeter in Boston. I'm really fascinated
: by the fact he's spent his entire career with one team. Like he's made
: history in New York, I want to make history in Boston.

他認為 球迷會相當高興 如果他能達到JETER的水準 他想當紅襪的JETER 他希望球迷了解
他並不是想在陽基打球. 他也相當欣賞JETER生涯都呆在陽基隊. 他希望自己能像JETER
一樣 JETER生涯都在陽基 他希望自己生涯都在紅襪
