  ACE: CC Sabathia (19-8. 3.37) vs. Josh Beckett (17-6, 3.86)

  The Scout Says: "These are two quality pitchers and stuff-wise, they can
  be comparable sometimes and their velocity is close. But when Sabathia has
  his breaking ball working, it's better than Beckett's and that makes him
  better, to me."


  NO. 2: A.J. Burnett (13-9. 4.04) vs. John Lackey (11-8, 3.83)

  The Scout Says: "Lackey throws strikes, knows how to change speeds, adds
  and subtracts, doesn't throw the pitch you expect based on the count and
  his command and control are better than Burnett's. Burnett has had trouble
  with command and control almost every time I've seen him."


  NO. 3: Andy Pettitte (14-8, 4.16) vs. Jon Lester (15-8, 3.41)

  The Scout Says: "I like Lester better for several reasons - he has a
  better fastball and a better breaking ball, whether he throws his slider
  or curveball. He does not change speeds as well as Pettitte does - that's
  experience - but that is developing for him."


  NO. 4: Javier Vazquez (15-10, 2.87) vs. Daisuke Matsuzaka (4-6, 5.76)

  The Scout Says: "I know Vazquez has a good arm and a good slider, good
  stuff. I'm not a Matsuzaka fan, honestly. I've seen him when he's supposed
  to be good and his fastball can be a plus fastball, but he gets himself in
  so much trouble. I have my doubts about him."


  NO. 5: Phil Hughes (8-3, 3.03) or Joba Chamberlain (9-6, 4.75)

         vs. Clay Buchholz (7-4, 4.21)

  The Scout Says: "I don't care if it's Chamberlain or Hughes who's the
  Yankees' No. 5, I'll take Buchholz over both of them.
