Jacoby Ellsbury is back on the disabled list. He has swelling in the same
area and a "faint line" around the same area as a previous fracture.

He had a CT scan today.

Reliever Michael Bowden has left Pawtucket and been summoned to Texas to join
the team -- though it's not yet clear if he will be activated.

According to Dan Barbarisi of the Providence Journal, Michael Bowden has left
Pawtucket and is on his way to Texas.

After running through all their relievers last night, the Sox need bullpen
help. Especially with erratic Daisuke Matsuzaka on the mound tomorrow.

You have to wonder if a position player is headed this way as well. With
Jacoby Ellsbury being sent back to get his ribs checked out and Jed Lowrie
felled by heatstroke last night, the bench will be short otherwise. The issue
would be whether Ellsbury needs to return to the disabled list for the third
time.

We'll keep you posted.
