[情報]Red Sox To Sign Matt Albers

The Red Sox have agreed to sign Matt Albers Peter Gammons reported tonight on
NESN's Red Sox Hot Stove Live. Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reported
earlier today that the Red Sox had interest in Albers, who became a free
agent when the Orioles non-tendered him earlier this month. Hendricks Sports
represents Albers.

The 27-year-old spent three seasons in Baltimore after the Orioles acquired
him in the Miguel Tejada trade. He posted a 4.52 ERA with 5.8 K/9 and 4.0
BB/9 in 75 2/3 innings last year. The right-hander has a 5.11 ERA in 317 1/3
career innings with the O's and Astros.

Albers has less than four years of service time, so the Red Sox will be able
to keep him around for the 2012 and 2013 seasons if they so choose
