Jon Paul Morosi of Fox Sports reports that Curt Young has returned to Oakand.
Young was the pitching coach in Oakland for seven years before taking a
two-year deal with the Red Sox.

His one year was not a successful one. Sox pitchers were ninth in the
American League in ERA and their September woes were the main reason for the
team's collapse.

that approach did not fit well with the staff.

Tuck as the only coaches technically remaining with the organization. All
have been told they are free to seek opportunities elsewhere.

The Red Sox could retain one or two of the coaches in 2012 depending on the
