”Shogun”發行後，主唱Andy認為樂風偏離了原有的風格，便停止了新專輯的計劃[1]，
而後Stormwitch在復出之前只有發行過”Priest of Evil”這張精選輯，收錄他們前三張
專輯”Walpurgis Night”、”Tales of Terror”及”Stronger Than Heaven”的歌曲。
在前一篇的介紹提到了瑞典樂隊Hammerfall在1997年的首作”Glory to the Brave”翻唱
了”Ravenlord”這首歌，而來自Nuclear Blast的Markus Wosgien更是在Hammerfall的一
場演唱會中邀請Andy共同演出”Ravenlord”，這個片段後來收錄在他們的現場專輯”The
First Crusade”中，這使得Stormwitch被年輕一代的樂迷所認識，並希望他們能夠復出，
但是Andy並沒有答應，直到吉他手Martin Winkler和鼓手Marc Oppold的出現才改變了他的
想法，這兩人都是死忠的Stormwitch樂迷，而他們在音樂上和Andy一拍即合，接著Markus
介紹兩兄弟Fabian Scwarz、Dominik Scwarz擔任吉他和貝斯手，以及鍵盤手Alex Schmidt
加入，於是Stormwitch又復活了！
2002年復出首作”Dance with the Witches”由Silverdust Records發行，Stormwitch再
度發揮他們以歷史或是文學作品為題材的特色，作出”Jeanne d'Arc”、"The House of
Usher”等歌曲；”The Devil's Bride”算是他們首次加入民謠成份的作品。除此之外，
這張專輯也翻唱了Styx在1974年發表的歌曲”Man of Miracles”。這張專輯為樂隊帶來不
錯的迴響，他們在同年也參與了Wacken Open Air以及Summer Breeze等音樂祭演出，並在
二年後發行了”Witchcraft”。
